Well, the war against the mildew king carpet is over for now. I'm not sure what the previous owner was thinking when he carpeted the bathroom, but it's a pretty bad idea. It trapped so much moisture. In any case, my dad, my brother and I made short work of the new linoleum - did a few measurements, cut it up, and rolled it on. Not bad, huh? Couple of learning points:

Line up the tile-like seam on the linoleum with the most visible side of the room. That way, your lines won't look crooked and drive you insane.
Measure twice, cut once. That shit is expensive - you pay by the square foot.
Buy decent linoleum. If you buy the thick kind, you'll just have to lay it down instead of trying to glue or fasten it down.

You can't go two months without a new social media site appearing promising something new. Well, turntable.fm is a pretty fun twist on collaborative music stream and share. It gives you a cute little avatar, and lets you play music over the web with friends and chat. It's super easy to use. I think that it's a great site to have on hand for Goat House, since we're all over the place. It's also a great way to learn of new music from each other.

It integrates with other web services pretty well. If I hear something I like on it, I can directly add it to my Spotify.
